Introspection by Modi Sahab

BJP has understood that the political  belligerence did not give any advantage in Bihar election. As a matter of fact soon after 2014 election in the center, Bihar state election did happen where they understood that the local parties had a pivotal role in formation of govt. and Congress took part in the coalitions and could get 27 seats out of 41 contested.

BJP could able to recover  and regain its position in last two months after the episode of  JNU and Kerala beef taking happenings in Canteen. Their ability  to use these issues to its advantage by making nationalism has been  a fault that  marked a turning point.

As has been said earlier, BJP has shed some polarizing hostility in the recent elections and and moved little closure to local political parties  and has occupied Assam assembly. Although the reasons are many in Assam, at least BJP has conceived the centre stage of the problem without  coalition.  BJP has gained 3 seats in West Bengal which is  most prominent result and placed their position more firmly having got 10% of total vote polled.

As 2019 is little far from now, BJP  cannot rely upon entirely on Modi factor. It will not play with same intensity as it did in 2014. It is true Modi’s steps taken in various heterogeneous direction would be yielding results, economy will be revived, at least there will be enough money in the govt exchequer due to various steps taken for tax collection, revenue collection and more over a huge income will be accumulating from the revenue income due to  Petrol price reduction in the global market. As has already discussed everywhere, the reduction of price of crude oil has not been re-transmitted to the people.

Another more pertinent factor that come out by imposition stringency in rules of TDS deduction,  reduction of interest in Term deposit , PPF,& EPF, the middle class people who are dependents upon these sources of income as there has been no opportunity to invest otherwise firmly, are little aggrieved. Moreover there has been no relaxation passed through in the last budget, in the IT act. It is also true by the time the election will be nearer, some doll/bonanza will be given to Middle Class by little moderating the tax exemption.

The early shaking of the Govt has since been gone since two years completed, it is the Modi and his party will decide  how they would proceed  to regain their position. The odd factors will be illuminating for the incumbency and in power.

How Didi has won

It was not magical that Didi won. It was pro incumbency vote in both the states, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.

Didi did a huge work in rural India. When Cogress & CPM jot was made and they constantly talked ill about the Govt with the help of Avik Sarkar's monkey, one of my friends who has been working in State Govt, told me "Don't worry, Didi will come back with record vote"
I asked the reason. He said that it was only a huge work in rural areas, where not only road, drinking water, medical facilities were ensured , the rural people were happy to get rice of Rs.2 per kg. This has resulted a silent revolution what CPM can not think even. CPM during their Govt. ensured that rural people should be starved so that they could support continuously their ism.The ball rolled down and took its speed.

In urban Bengal there has been all pucca road, clean, drinking water, electricity, flyovers, bridges and more over local municipal development have been doing immensely. People can see the development in their eyes and has felt it.The local parks and club have developed a lot. The beauty of urban areas have been changed and Mamata Banerjee has been able to keep her impression over all Bengal.

Only remaining question is corruption. I am sure Didi will take this as challenge in near future and rowdy elements should be given a lesson.

Love YOU DIDI

This is a victory of ours. You made us to fight continuously. A relentless fight we made amongst our friends, relatives, and acquaintances every day, every hour, every minute when your action were being shown by most of the Bengali Channels directly or sarcastically in a depreciated, condemned  way, negatively and resonated by  some of our friends who are supporter of Left, Congress and BJP.

Then, we held your flag high, we highlighted your action, we did show your achievements, we showed your tireless action, your run, your talk, your views and above all your smile. We highlighted your honesty. Sometimes we kept mum when something went against you by the deed your party leaders. We knew when and how to remain silent.

We saw your fight from the beginning. How the long 34 years had ruined Bengal, its people, its culture. We witnessed your fight and we were the force who led you. We know that you believe us. You know we support you. So you go forward with your hawai.

Didi, we cried for you when at the end of election process, your face was gloomy. It sounded in the ballot box with a big bang and ousted the opponent so ruthlessly.

Didi, we are, were, and will be with you. You just do your job and shine Bengal

Siliguri a small township

Siliguri a small town in West Bengal commonly said a capital of North Bengal is a most vulnerable town ship, very delicate by its culture, composition, and heritage.

Almost 60 years back this small township began to grow centering around its main railway station named Siliguri Town Rly Station.

Once Rabindranath Tagore, Lord Clive, and many other dignitaries visited this station for going to Darjeeling, the summer capital of Bengal. Darjeeling, Kurseong, Kalimpong,Sikkim, Nepal, Bhutan are closely connected with this small township.. Its a gateway of all those places and Doors, Assam, and 7 states of India.

Hill Cart Road a main road in Siliguri that extended upto Darjeeling. A small train, commonly said toy train used to travel through this road tearing the main city to Darjeeling. Any young could easily embark into and disembark from this train when it was moving through the road.


I grew up in this small town, I studied here,  played here, loved my friends, loved my brothers,sisters. I had seen my father's struggle and mother's endurance. I also found my wife here.

We had a big house at Siliguri. We alongwith my brothers and sisters once lived there. Now by the time flew, we were  separated by Flats.Still we have,  had very strong bond among brothers.

During Summer we visited Siliguri and  enjoyed winter there.

Now Siliguri has one fly over. It was built very casually, no plan, no fore look It did not make any big  advantage rather it made the city dirty. The big and old market of Siliguri now become shabby, no free walk, making huge disadvantage to the people of the city. It gave advantage to Left party to win election. As a matter of fact the left had no positive outlook. If you see critically this left oriented party did nothing radical to the people of Bengal. They did not understand even that they betrayed the people with so much of majority in the Govt. So Siliguri was the perennial sufferer.

Siliguri has  a peculiar people base,  Bengali's are disseminating . There is huge increase Nepalis, Marwariees, Punjabi, Biharis and some ethnic group of  people. The villages surrounding Siliguri are infested with Bengali Mulims(trespassers). Left allowed them to live there and helped them to get official papers in order to enroll them in their party. Rajbansis sold their land and went interior of the villages who are actual sufferers.

Why did CPIM have lost the power?

The dent in the party started long back when Mr. JoytiBasu had made a hole by lifting English Language from the Primary curriculum of studies in  Bengal. Mr. Basu had an indifferent attitude in every matter howsoever was it  serious, grave, disheartening  when he was in public, primarily before Journalist. He earned the characteristics of patriarchal style when answering questions in assembly or in public.

Ashok Mitra,  a former Minister in Left Front Government  has attributed the defeat of CPM  to  a number of factors: a culture of  arrogance on   the part of the party and its leaders, attempt to industrialize poor West Bengal with the help of private capital, neglect of its peasant base, cronyism coupled with sycophancy, allowing the entry of corrupt elements within the party, lack of inner party democracy, seeking help from the center to deal with Maoists and so on (The Telegraph, May 20 , 2011).

Later this was refuted by CPM leader Ms.Brinda Karat altogether.

Slowly Govt. Employees and party leaders  started to interfere the normal working of public at large to get the license, to have a  renewal of a license, to get a new ration card , to make a  voter card, to deposit of local taxes, to have a semi govt permission in petty matters, to get  admission to schools, colleges, hospitals, etc…. through the party leaders/cadres.It  had been  a  gateway to avail the normal things and sometimes with very paltry subscription to the party’s fund. It was not known who was managing this fund collected through various gateway. Another class of people evolved during the period, which were marginally poor but were very close to the leaders. This class aroused due to  various course of action, mainly sycophancy and  had accumulated a lot of powers to engage people in business, aiding to the promoters, allowing to continue the business having no proper licenses.I know some petty leaders in Office Union who could manage to provide appointment to their entire family and in laws to the govt and semi govt without feeling any shame.So just imagine what the ministers had done during the long 33 years of rein. In the heart of the city, there was an abundance of auto rickshaw having no proper licenses. They were the main comrades amongst others  to control Bandhs or Strike to make it an unsounded successful. In all offices, in Bengal, unions were most powerful and administration was  jeopardized a great deal questions in assembly or in publicThe real estate, this sector during the mid 70’s to 80’s had flourished like anything. That was the main source of money, certainly unaccounted money, cropped up suddenly and went to the all section of leaders, semi leaders, cadres, semi cadres and followers in proportion. In order to keep a peaceful operation, local leaders did make use of muscle man, often called as cadres. Within a very short period they became affluent and were a showcase in a society. People around started to see the developments. This was not the way they wanted to see it and voted for. There was a dream that the standard of poor people would develop. They could earn through their jobs and small businesses.

Another Raj or you may call it contractor raj. It flourished a lot . Construction of new bridges, repair of old bridges, Construction of canals, long roads, Damn, etc, all in the infrastructural sector a huge outlay of money normally prevails. Therefore, in this area Minsters, head of corporations/ municipalities/panchayats  had managed to garner assets in various forms.  Mr. Buddhadev Bhattacharya the successor of Mr.Basu realized it.  He initiated pragmatic movement in the apex level of party, but could not be able to be supportive. Later some strong action were taken against errants. But it was too late to remain in power.

On the other hand, an essence of power had been showered to daily earners, e.g., Rikshwa pullers, maids, house helpers, daily laborers by which they had raised their quantum of their rates of earning marginally and started reducing their working practice. Slowly they wanted to earn with least working.

Kashmir was a Muslim Majority state of Hindu King. During partition,

on the request of the King, India made it free from the clutches

of Pakistan. Since then it became part n parcel of India.

Separatist drove the Hindu Pundits from the valley and snatched their everything. Now they demand Kashmir as Independent state.

Now it has become routine job of India to keep the valley free

from separatist who are being helped by Pakistan with supply of

 terrorist and arming local people.

The most problematic is Article 370 which has been a weapon

 of separatists. Had this been not there, India would have been a

free modulator to solve the so called Kashmir problem. There is

no need of Pakistan interference, or India should not have any

talk with them. India is militarily immense powerful, but very

 somber to discuss the matter with many people around.
